Trip description

If you have decided to go with us to the highest mountain of the Alps - Mont Blanc, prepare for a more physically demanding hike. Getting to the top 4810 meters above sea level and looking around the surrounding alpine peaks is worth it.

We consider acclimatization to be an essential part of the climb. To help you get used to the thin air, we will take an acclimatization hike before the actual climb to the summit.

There are two ways to climb Mont Blanc with us:

Over the Dôme du Goûter – PD difficulty – This is the most frequented summer route to the top of Mont Blanc. The starting point is in Chamonix or Saint Gervais. On the peak day, you start from the Goûter hut 3,817 m above sea level or Tete Rousse 3,167 m above sea level
Over the Aiguille du Midi – difficulty PD+ Our favorite route follows the ridge on which other significant peaks of the Mont Blanc massif are located – Mont Blanc du Tacul and Mont Maudit. That is why it is nicknamed the Route of the Three Mont Blancs. The starting point is the end station of the Aiguille du Midi cable car in Chamonix at an altitude of 3,842 meters. This is a more technically demanding route, but we still classify it as an easy climb. The mountain guide has a maximum of 1 client.

ATTENTION: to climb via Gouter, you need to order climbs for the given season by the end of October before the upcoming season! The cottages are occupied shortly after the launch of the booking system in November. We are already taking orders for 2025!

The UIAGM mountain guide has the highest international license to work in the mountains and has liability insurance.

What can you look forward to?

Day 0 – transfer to the location

Who is the event for?

To climb Mont Blanc, you should be in excellent physical condition (e.g. be able to walk 20 km in one "trek"), have experience walking on crampons in combined terrain (rock, snow, glacier).

How big is the group?

Maximum 2 people per UIAGM mountain guide via Dôme du Goûter. Over Aiguille du Midi maximum 1 person per mountain guide.

What is included in the course price?

Price includes:
Event leadership by a UIAGM mountain guide.
Organizational provision of the event on site
Cancellation insurance.

The price does not include:
Accommodation in apartments and mountain huts, food
Rideable cable cars
Costs of the leader (accommodation, food, transport and other expenses related to leading the event). These expenses are covered by the client.
Own transport, it is necessary to take the guide with you. Alternatively, we can arrange the transport
Travel insurance.

What to take with you?

By myself glacier equipment (cats, ice axe, seat, helmet, 2x HMS carbine). What you don't have, we'll agree. It will be cold up there. So don't forget warm and waterproof clothes, hat and gloves. At least two. Proper hiking boots, backpack (approx. 30l), sunglasses, thermos and mainly insurance.

Where do they sleep?

They sleep in mountain huts in shared dormitories. Beds have two blankets and a pillow - bring your own sleeping bag liner. Social facilities are shared. Accommodation with half board costs from 50 to 120 € / person / night (with the Alpenverein approx. 10 € less). Cabins are paid on the spot. In Chamonix in an apartment or in a campsite.

What do I have to do to participate in the event?

Submit your application using the form on this page. After receiving this application, we will send you a travel contract and other necessary information. The deposit must be paid within 10 days from the conclusion of the contract by bank transfer. Additional payment for the event according to the instructions in the travel contract.
