Trip description

Come skiing with us in the Arctic.

The mountain area, 200 km north of the Arctic Circle on the border with Norway and the Atlantic, is considered one of the best heliski areas in the world. Three, four or seven-day events throughout the season, i.e. from March to May. Five people per UIAGM mountain guide and a maximum of 2 groups per helicopter or according to individual requirements.

What can you look forward to?

How good a skier/snowboarder do I have to be?

You must have a perfectly mastered off-road driving technique and be physically fit. If in doubt, book a test day.

How many vertical meters will I climb per day?

A good skier/snowboarder skis an average of 7000-8000 vertical meters and more per day. However, it always depends on the current climatic conditions and weather.

What is the terrain like?

Skiing is carried out above the tree line in a high-mountain environment of an alpine character.

What is included in the price?

Price includes:
The so-called helicopter heli slot 2.5hh/5hh/7.5hh (hh = heli hour) depending on the selected heli package, i.e. 3, 4 or 7 day heli
Accommodation and food
ABS avalanche backpack, avalanche finder, shovel and probe, skis and poles (not snowboards - you need to bring your own. You also need to bring your own helmet and ski boots)
Guided by a UIAGM mountain guide.

The price does not include:
Flight ticket to Kiruna or another airport
Transfer to and from Kiruna Airport or Narvik Harstad / Evenes Airport = 250 EUR per person
Insurance
Massage
Extra heli hours 700 EURp.p./h

If a pre-paid heli package is flown, each additional heli hour costs EUR 700. The helihour is divided into tenths, i.e. every 6 minutes of airtime started. The net time the helicopter is in the air is counted as 0.1 heli-hour. On request, we can provide you with a car rental, an extra night's accommodation near the airport in Kiruna or Narvik/Evenes (valid for departure days) and plane tickets to these destinations.

How many people are in the group?

There are 5-6 people in each group and a maximum of 2 groups sharing a helicopter.

Can you combine skiers and snowboarders?

Yes, it doesn't affect terrain selection or skiing, so it works great.

What if the weather is bad?

In case of bad weather, we offer other activities, e.g. riding scooters in the Arctic, snowkiting, ice climbing, skitouring, fishing and more.
