Gerlach Peak (2655 m), the highest peak in Slovakia, is an unforgettable experience and one of the most iconic hikes in the High Tatras. This expedition offers adventure for beginners and experienced climbers, with all ascents led by a certified UIAGM mountain guide.
Great test (Normal)
Ideal for beginners. The route leads from the Sliezský dům through the Velická valley and the exposed terrain of the Velická próba, continues through the Devil's Towers to the summit. The descent takes place through the Batizovský Žlab and the Batizovská próba to the Batizovská valley. The total length of the circuit is approximately 12 km with an elevation gain of 1,000 m.
Gipsy ferrata and Tetmajer's saddle
A challenge for advanced hikers. The route includes technically demanding sections and the exposed Martinovka ridge. The descent is the same as on Normálka.
Martin's Way (Martinovka)
The best choice for experienced climbers. This ridge hike leads from the Polish Ridge via Zadní Gerlach to the summit and offers breathtaking scenery throughout the ascent.
Winter ascent
In winter, the ascent takes place via Batizovská Próba and Batizovský Žlab. The descent takes place along the same route, and the winter adds a unique atmosphere to the hike.
Each route offers unique views of the beauty of the High Tatras and the opportunity to experience the magical atmosphere of the highest peak in Slovakia. The hike can be adapted to your abilities and wishes, whether you are a beginner or an experienced climber.
The UIAGM mountain guide has the highest international license to work in the mountains and has liability insurance.
